Properties and keyframes

- Click the arrow next to the layer name to reveal transform properties
- Move the current time marker to the time you want to start animating
- Click the stopwatch next to the name of the property that you want to animate
- This creates a keyframe which is a point in time where you want to specify a value for a property like opacity
- Change the value(opacity, etc.) to set the keyframe
- After effects will create the in between frames between your keyframes
- If you are on a keyframe and you change the value of the property, the keyframe will be adjusted to the new value
- If you are in between keyframes and a property is already animated and then you change a value for a property, a new keyframe will be created.
- Drag a keyframe to move it in time
- Select a keframe and press delete to delete a keyframe
Previewing
- 0 on number pad to ram preview
- period on number pad to audio preview
Rendering
- Go to comp-add to render queue to set up render
- Click on lossless and then format next to video to change the compressor to Sorenson 3
- turn on audio in render window
