Project Description

  • Create a responsive website with at least 5 pages on the subject of your choice.
  • Use the responsive framework of your choice to create the design.
  • If you do want to publish the site, you must have rights to all material
  • You can code the site using any editor you wish.
  • You should perform many of the common steps involved in web design, if applicable, like:
    • Research on the client, topic, and similar sites
    • Gather content
    • Information Architecture (organize the content)
    • Sketching of potential designs
    • Wireframes
    • PSD mockups
    • Prototype using your framework of choice
      • The prototype is a working version of the site without design detail like color scheme, typographic design, final images, etc.

To Do

  • Decide on a subject
  • Do an inventory of assets/content
  • Organize and prioritize the content
  • Create sketches
  • Refine the design
  • Create wireframes in your app of choice for at least 2 page types, with 3 layouts covering phone, tablet and desktop, for a minimum total of 6 wireframes
  • Create a prototype version of the site and do informal testing
  • Add art direction for your final version

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 pages minimum
  • 2 page types(different layouts)
  • The pages must have at least 2 breakpoints, which will result in 3 basic layouts for phone, tablet and desktop
  • At least 1 inline fluid image
  • At least 1 background fluid image

Point Breakdown

  • 10 points - Layout sketches
  • 10 points - Wireframes
  • 20 points - Prototype
  • 20 points - Final version requirements (pages, breakpoint, etc.)
  • 20 points - Final version execution and Design
    • Readability
    • Usability
    • Layout
    • Typography
    • Etc.
